What is therapy?

Therapy is a unique space and relationship. Therapy can offer people the core conditions required for meaningful change.

When relationships have failed to provide you with healthy narratives, therapy can feel like a foreign place. With consistency, and making the commitment to yourself, over time this becomes a familiar space, and is often when clients feel ready to leave.

I believe in the potential of humans, as long as they are given the right conditions to thrive. The analogy of trees is helpful to understand human being. Some trees grow to be big and strong, sturdy when given all the right environmental conditions, whilst there are other trees that grow in the shadows of others, and may look a bit wonky, but they still exist. If you feel out of place in this world, I am here to remind you that you are human, and you can decide which way you’d like to go by making choices, and choosing to go to therapy is one of those decisions that might help to improve an environment. I know it is not feasible for everyone, in the system we live in today, this is not a reflection of you but rather a systemic failing. I offer free to access resources under the resource tab.
